Val d’Orcia

Casetta di Ugolino is found in Radicofani in the heart of Val d’Orcia (Siena) surrounded by a breathtakingly beautiful countryside that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Thanks to an expert restoration of the original materials, such as volcanic rock and traditional Tuscan terracotta, the historic 19th century country house is currently a beautiful place to spend a holiday.

Surrounded by a private park measuring approximately 2 hectares, nestled among old oak trees and holm oak trees, it is a perfect base from which to reach the spa towns of Bagno Vignoni and San Casciano dei Bagni (around 20km away) and the artistic cities of Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto. Guests can enjoy the breathtaking nature of Val D’Orcia and Val di Chiana or explore the famous towns of Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico D’Orcia, Chiusi, Cetona, Montepulciano and Sarteano, all within 30km.

The lakes of Bolsena and Trasimeno are also nearby, while Argentario and the Tyrrhenian Coast are located around 60km away from Radicofani. Those looking to go shopping can head to the nearby Valdichiana Outlet (A1 Bettolle-Sinalunga exit, around 50km away).  Guests can also take the historic Via Cassia for a day trip to Rome (160km away).
